Volunteer Ministers of the Church of Scientology Carried Out 40 Community Initiatives Across the Czechia in October
From the capital city to the country’s second-largest city, volunteers convert moral principles and empathy into real-world civic improvement.
Prague, Czech Republic — October 31st, 2025 — During October, the Volunteer Ministers of the Church of Scientology came together in cities throughout the Czech Republic to clean up public spaces, support local charities, and bring a stronger sense of community in 4 major cities — Prague, Brno, Plzeň and Pelhřimov.
In just one month, they executed over 40 initiatives, harnessing numerous hours of service in environmental and social welfare action based on L. Ron Hubbard’s “The Way to Happiness”, the common-sense ethical guide written by Hubbard.
Collective Effort, Measurable Impact
Each week, 15–20 helpers collaborated in at least eleven community activities, dedicating 117 hours of service — plus an extra 100 hours for a large-scale cleanup in the city of Brno.
That one-time Brno effort collected 150 sacks of waste, turning overgrown grounds into accessible public land. In Pilsen, volunteers addressed an derelict woodland area left dirty and hazardous after makeshift camps, removing unsafe materials with thoughtfulness.
“This isn’t glamorous work,” a team member said. “Someone has to step up. Every act of service is about reclaiming pride — to our surroundings, our fellow citizens, and our own sense of purpose.”
Cooperation Beyond Boundaries
The month also included hands-on collaboration across faiths. The team gathered and distributed clothing donations to a local Catholic aid organization, demonstrating a spirit of solidarity that goes beyond belief systems.
Mr. Arjona, the Scientology’s envoy to the European Union, OSCE, Council of Europe and United Nations, highlighted the broader meaning of such service:
“Helping is a universal language. Be it working alongside a church, a city office, or a neighbor in need, our members embody the principle that a better society starts with better people — those who take initiative and show compassion.”

Local authorities in Prague, Brno and other cities have commended the VMs’ steady contribution. Their on-the-ground work — from tidying walkways to caring for green spaces — has encouraged community members to participate in or start their independent projects.
A volunteer captured the month succinctly: “No one else was stepping up — so we did.”
